Mawaheb (“we”, “the app”) is an educational platform that lets students learn across the STEAM subjects — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics — through quizzes. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep it short because we keep data collection small.
Information we collect
When you create an account and use Mawaheb, we collect only what the app needs to work:
- Account information — your name, email address, username, and the school you join (via a school join code).
- Learning activity — the quizzes you take and the answers you submit, so we can score attempts and show your results and progress.
- A user identifier — an account ID we assign so your data is associated with your account.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, financial information, health data, or device advertising identifiers. Your password is stored only in encrypted form and is never readable by us.
How we use it
We use this information solely to provide the app: to authenticate you, deliver quizzes from your school, score and store your attempts, and show your results and progress. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles.
Tracking and third parties
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertising networks. Mawaheb contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Within your school, teachers and administrators can see the quiz results of students in their own classes, as part of the app’s normal educational function.
Data retention and your rights
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or the deletion of your account, by contacting us at the address below. When an account is deleted, its personal data is removed from our systems.
Children’s privacy
Mawaheb is used by students, often through their school. Where the app is used by children, accounts are created and managed with the involvement of the student’s school. We collect only the limited information described above and use it only to provide the educational service.
